This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities who is passionate about teaching. The Humanities are valued and popular subjects across Key Stage 3, and include Ethics and Philosophy, Geography and History.

The Trust plans to convert their secondary schools into Key Stage 3 and 4 schools, providing education to students from age 11 – 16 in the local area.  It is an exciting time for the Trust and the successful candidate will be instrumental as we embark on this journey.

Both NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged.  Applications are welcome from both established and recently qualified teachers with appropriate relevant experience.

You will play an active role in the department supporting the continued development of the quality of teaching at Castle Rock High School. You will lead the highly successfully Music Maestro programme (more details about the programme attached) whilst also contributing to the school’s extra-curricular timetable. Involvement in the arts and student performances are seen as vital components of Castle Rock High School, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in providing these exciting opportunities for students.

Cover Supervisor

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational candidate to join our team of cover supervisors.

We are looking for someone to work under the guidance of the SLT to facilitate cover for planned and unplanned absence of teachers and support staff within the agreed system of supervision.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a team of cover supervisors responsible for facilitating the cover set by absent teachers.

They will be able to effectively manage the class in terms of behaviour and promoting an environment for learning that supports the progress of students. The role is an excellent opportunity for candidates to develop classroom pedagogy with a view to training as a teacher should the wish to.
