The DFE has approved The Apollo Partnerships Trust’s application for age range change within the the secondary schools of Coalville and it’s surrounding villages.

Approval has also been given for King Edward VII to join ‘Apollo’.

In reality this means that in August 2020 Newbridge High School will retain its year 9 students into year 10 and 11, becoming an 11-16 School.

Castle Rock High School and King Edward VII College will merge to provide a similar 11-16 school.

There will be a shared Sixth Form Provision for both schools based at the current King Edward VII Campus.
