As you are aware, we are currently planning for a change in our secondary educational provision within the Coalville schools of the Apollo Partnership Trust.

Instead of the current system of two 11-14 high schools and a 14-19 upper school, from September 2020, Newbridge School will be an 11-16 school, with Castle Rock and King Edward VII merging, under the name Castle Rock School, to form an 11-16 school. The shared sixth form will be on the current King Edward VII site.

This exciting development marks a change in the educational landscape for our young people and what better way to reflect our evolving identity than to give consideration to our current uniform.

We will be collecting the thoughts of our current and future students, but would also like to involve parents as much as possible as we consider any potential change, over time.

We would therefore like to invite you to a parental workshop where we can discuss and listen to your thoughts, ideas and preferences.

We will be holding a session at each school on Monday 28th October:

  • 5.00pm at Castle Rock School
  • 6.30pm at Newbridge School

If you would like to attend please indicate which session you would like to attend, this will enable us to ensure there is enough seating.
